Not All Street Style Is Out-There—These 6 Simple Looks Are So Easy to Copy

We admit street style can get a little wild. There are some people who go all out for photographers in fabulous tulle dresses and heels higher than you could ever imagine walking in (let alone looking effortlessly fabulous in)—and we have the utmost respect for them. But it’s not all feathers and tutus. Much street-style spotting occurs during fashion month when most of us attending are running around from show to show, jumping on the Tube and dealing with gale force winds as we try to scoff a Pret sandwich before the next event begins. This also means our outfits actually need to be easy, comfortable and mostly practical, as well as chic.

That’s not to say these looks are any less inspiring. On the contrary, it’s often the more understated, wearable outfits that get us the most excited when we spot them across the runway or on the streets because they’re still fashionable but we can actually copy them when we get home. Whether it’s a coordinated pairing, interesting layering trick or standout accessory, the key to these anything-but-boring, simple looks are the subtleties in the styling. That is to say you can still make a fashion week–worthy look out of classic pieces, some of which you probably already own, just with a few clever tweaks and additions.

The inspiration from the street style is one of our favourite bits about working in the fashion industry. And for 2024, we’re looking to the street style standouts we can copy-and-paste this season. Keep scrolling to see and shop the looks.

1. A Longline Blazer + Loose Leg Jeans

Style Notes: So simple but so effective. A good pair of jeans always elevates any outfit (and will carry you through many years to come), but this season it’s all about XXL denim that’s loose in the leg for laidback appeal.
